And because Shearn’s Seafood and Prime Steaks is a perfect example of both those facts, we decided we want to add it to the list of dining establishments that you absolutely cannot miss! Located at 7 Hope Boulevard and open Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 until 10 PM, the epicurean delights available here will change your life.
Dressy Casual is Acceptable
While you don’t need to wear suits and formal gowns to eat at this elegant establishment, vacation attire, such as swimsuits, shorts, tank tops, and flip flops are not acceptable. Shearn’s offers unbelievable views of the Pyramid at Moody Gardens, as well as sunsets over the bay, making it the perfect place for a special celebration. White tablecloths, comfortably plush velvet seating, and floor to ceiling windows are your first sign that this dinner will be something extraordinary; the aromatic smell of good steak and great wine will be the scent that cements your love of this wonderful place. The cost of the meals served here are on the expensive side, but we don’t think it will be a problem after you sample their wares. Sometimes you must pay more to get the best!
The Menu
The Chef at Shearn’s Seafood and Prime Steaks has produced a menu that would compare with the finest restaurants in any world capital. Appetizers that include shrimp and crab tarts, Hatch pepper crab cakes, and exquisitely prepared escargots bourguignonne will tantalize your taste buds. Lobster bisque or roasted baby beet salad also make a good start to any meal, while the Chateaubriand for Two or Roasted Local Gulf Grouper will change how you expect your fish to taste forever more. And because Shearn’s understands that not everyone has meat or seafood in their diets, they offer a small, but tasty vegetarian selection as well! When the waiter offers the dessert menu, be sure you have saved some room for the light-as-air crème brulee served here. Dessert, coffee, and an extensive wine menu, including a great choice in dessert wines, is the perfect way to end your meal!
