Mardi Gras Children’s Parade

Mardi Gras is usually a holiday that is reserved for adults. Generally, it consists of drinking and making terrible choices. However, Galveston is making Mardi Gras a family friendly Galveston, TX event! Along with the Firefighters of Local 571, Galveston is hosting the Mardi Gras Children’s Parade in downtown Galveston. This parade is specifically designed with the local children in mind so that they can be a part of this large holiday. Make sure to bring your family to see the Mardi Gras Children’s Parade.

The parade will begin on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 3 pm and will start at 25th Street and Sante Fe Place. The parade will travel south on 25th, East on Postoffice, north on 19th Street, and west on Strand and end on 25th Street and Strand. Along the parade route will be stages in which kids can watch some great musical entertainment and special acts. The parade will march with kids in costumes, decorated floats, and musical accompaniment.
