Movie Night on the Strand
Every first Saturday of the month, Saengerfest Park holds a movie night in the evening. Join movie-lovers during the first Saturday of April to enjoy the incredible weather and a classic film. Bring a lawn chair, a picnic blanket, and a pillow and relax!
FeatherFest
Join the FeatherFest for its 15th annual bird festival on April 11-14th! Come to our island to see over 200 colorful species of birds while they make their migration through Texas. If you’re a bird-watcher, outdoor enthusiast, a nature photographer, or simply curious, this festival is for you! There are opportunities to meet with the nation’s top naturalists, as well as attend social events with other nature lovers and learn about the natural migration of the bird on site. Come out and celebrate this incredible natural phenomenon!
Galveston Food and Wine Festival
Catch the beginning of the Galveston Food and Wine Festival April 20th and 27th. Join other wine connoisseurs April 20th for a blind wine tasting. All samples will be judged and narrowed down to the top 3 red and white wines. On the 27th come back to decide which of these 6 wines will be named the Grand Champion! Practice your wine tasting skills and help decide who will be the winner!
Grand Kids Festival
Bring your little ones out to the Grand Opera House April 1st to discover the arts! The Grand Kids Festival gives families the opportunities to experience hands-on-activities, a petting zoo, over a dozen professional performer, student performance groups and more! One of the gems of the afternoon is an onstage musical performance by the Missoula Children’s Theater. This year they will perform the musical Aladdin. If you’re kids love music and performance, you cannot miss this festival!
