Located off of Stewart Road near 85th Street, you can enjoy a brew while Galveston’s charming sea breeze is still in your nostrils. It’s a very inviting brewery too, with a playground in the front lawn and a room for board games—how often do you find such a kid-friendly brewery?
Their flagship brew is the Tiki Wheat, which they continue to improve on with each passing year. Their Citra Mellow is also super popular, as is their Nightfall Porter; enjoy them with some bar snacks. G. I. B. sometimes brings in live music, and there’s outdoor seating where you can enjoy the Galveston breeze. Stop by any day—they’re open seven days a week!
Beerfoot Brewery
On the other side of town, we have Beerfoot Brewery, located off historic Seawall Boulevard. Reviewers praise its extensive selection of beers on tap—including their own! The atmosphere is relaxed, and offers pool and darts to help you unwind. Plus, the sports on the TV make it the perfect place to while away the hours enjoying your drinks. Stop by on Tuesday for trivia night!
Galveston Bay Beer Company
This is actually about a half-hour drive outside the city—you’ll find it on 3436 Road, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention it. This company’s staff and beer are top-notch. The beverages range from the refreshing ones such as Blueberry Blonde and Watermelon Wheat to the ones like Ghostship, which pack more of a punch—reviewers tend to rave over this gose!
