Downtown Lantern & Lights
Beginning Saturday, November 25 at 6PM and lasting through the new year, Downtown Lantern & Lights offers magical nights that will leave a warm glow in your heart. Featuring an array of Christmas trees decorated in the season’s finest and a giant snow globe that allows you to take the family picture that will grace this year’s Christmas cards from the INSIDE, you won’t want to miss this event!
Dickens on the Strand
We have lived in Galveston our entire lives and we still never tire of this annual event held on the first weekend in December that features the best of what Charles Dicken’s England has to offer. Carolers dressed in their finest 19th Century holiday attire, parades of wonder, tasty holiday meals and drinks guaranteed to bring a smile to your face—this year is the 44th showcase and it promises to better than ever!
Ice Land at Moody Gardens
Even the Moody Gardens celebrate the holidays in style with over two million pounds of ice used to create an icy wonderland of Christmas. Carved by the best ice carvers in the world, castles, creatures, and some of your favorite television characters are created out of ice and color for your holiday entertainment!
Santa Train
Because Santa’s reindeer are in training for the big day back at the North Pole, the Santa Train comes to Galveston on December 16th from 10AM until 2PM at the Galveston Railroad Museum! Your kids will have a blast decorating personal Christmas trees and will be thrilled to meet the big man himself and tell him in person about all the gifts they have been dreaming about for so long!
