The Bryan Museum
The Bryan Museum is located in the historic Galveston Orphans home and houses the Bryan Collections, one of the world’s largest collections of historical artifacts, documents, and artwork that relates to Texas and the American West. The collection was assembled by J.P. and Mary Jon Bryan, who collected pieces that expand more than 12,000 years, with pieces that range from ancient Native American cultural artifacts to modern twenty first century objects. The collection houses approximately 70,000 items in total which range across almost every country and culture. The Museum presents a chronological history of Texas and American West culture with a special emphasis on the Spanish influences in the region.
