Because we celebrate all members of your family, the Grand Kids Festival held at the Grand 1894 Opera House on April 1st from 10:00 AM to 5:00PM is one of our many family friendly events, with an emphasis on the munchkins who will one day oversee our future. This will be the 20th anniversary of this worthy event and offers families a day of fun, food, entertainment, and crafts, all with free admission!
With three stages, 40 booths, and 12 areas designated for kid friendly activities, this year’s gala promises to outshine those of previous years. We expect it to get even better next year, because that’s how things work on the island of Galveston!
Featuring a petting zoo, a theatrical production of The Wizard of Oz, and pony rides, the Grand Kids Festival is a joy to attend by children of all ages! Held in the heart of downtown Galveston, the Storytelling Tent has been a favorite attraction over the years, surpassed only by the pony rides; who doesn’t love a good pony ride?
